Advice for someone who hasn't played since Final Fantasy X that really wants to buy this?
Don't expect it to be like any other FF, except maybe summons and chocobos. The gameplay is really different and everything since it's action-based now.

I mean. It depends on what you're looking for. Don't go in expecting a complete story because it's not there (yet)
honestly at this point I wouldn't buy it until they release the story DLC. They're literally adding in story content + changing up chapter 13 because of how messy it is
The voice acting, Prompto, the music, and the ending are still amazing though.

I finished the story yesterday and totally agree that an 8.5/10 is an appropriate score for the game. The way the narrative is told is absolute **** but I enjoyed the story itself. Kinda sad that a lot of characters were severely underdeveloped. Gonna polish up the postgame!
I've just finished Chapter 8 and yeah the story feels unfinished and rushed so far. FF15 is still great and I'm really excited for the future. I like the world especially the dungeons (but I wish they made more towns/cities and less gas stations. One big city is not enough imo. The world is so big. They could've easily made a second big city in the open world). I also hope that future FF games have more "fantasy elements". I love the characters especially Aranea, Gentiana, Noctis and Gladiolus. I'm happy they finally use a real-time battle system. I was never a fan of the turn-based battle system.
it was a relief, honestly, to have such an easy time with the ending bosses as opposed to how it usually is but I lowkey also resented myself for it because I felt like it ended all too fast.
