You don't have to talk to him about it if you aren't sure. You can make gestures to show him you're interested, like snuggling with him or being more flirtatious. That may give him the confidence to say something. If he doesn't, then I guess you have your answer.

its funny though because we have always acted flirtatious towards each other. even our friends would tell us but we just ignored it. I sometimes wrap my hands around his arm when we're walking and stuff like that but I don't know, recently its been different. I just all of a sudden started liking him
a lot more. we can honestly talk about anything and its amazing how well we get along.
I have always been straightforward with things. so I think im just going to ask him how he feels the next time I see him.
Glad you two have such a great relationship that you can talk about anything.
