Yes, they did that so fans bases and the artist can't cheat their way to getting more sales. If you buy remixes featuring another artist or a dance remixes or and clean/explicit or something similar it counts as another sale. For example if you buy E.T. original and the remix with Kanye that would count as 2 copies. But if you buy E.T. original twice it will only count as one. The only way around it is if you make more iTunes accounts or you can gift the to people via email. So I suggest you don't just blow over $20 on Die Young unless you make more accounts or gift it
