It hurts my heart when people try to make it seem like Iggy is just this super privileged white chick who popped up out of the nowhere. All the "she just made it because she's blonde hot and white" excuses kill me. Like she actually had to work for all that she has. And even after her earlier singles didn't do too well she still kept a positive face and worked harder. I have a lot of respect for Iggy Igs.

Whenever people bring up Iggy's old tweets I always find it irrelevant because she's experienced so much in the time that has passed and she is obviously a different person now. As an Azalean it's an argument I've encountered far too many times so to find Warner Brothers making a statement like that I thought the similarities were amusing. Not to mention that my post doesn't insult Iggy in any way... and having an Azealia avi really has nothing to do with anything.

Btw idk if this has been posted anywhere yet but Work got its first certification this past weekend in Australia over a year after its release and making some more history:

Iggy Azalea picks up a Gold (●) sales cert for “Work”, which holds at No.93 this week, and is one of the lowest peaking songs to ever receive a certification, having only reached No.79 so far.

First of three tbh because in the US it should actually be Gold already counting with streams considering next week it will have crossed 500k sales + it's been kinda close to the Silver certification for a while in the UK and that will eventually happen especially now that they also count streaming over there.

Besides the two songs in the Top 3, Iggy Azalea’s “Work” dropped two rankings to #19 with 22,394 copies sold for a total of 478,253. Azalea’s “Change Your Life” featuring T.I. held on to a spot in the Top 100 but fell seven placements from last week.
