It's not that I don't like it I was just hoping he'd bring something different this time around. Something new and fresh. This feels rehashed to me. He never really veer off course and his music is just bleeding into each other. I'm still happy we are getting a new album though.

That's the only "funk" reference a lot of these kids have I think. This has a lot of that 80s Cameo style synthy funk in the mix yoo, but yeah -- even that's not in the same vein as the brassy Uptown Funk. And even worse, the fact that Macklemore is the first frame of reference for some kinda makes me want to weep in the bushes for a few minutes.

It really does remind me a LOT of Cameo actually. It reminds me of my dad's music Which isn't a bad thing at all but wow at the way he was able to channel that completely.
