* Compilation albums excluded (TIC - 30,000,000 - 1990)
**Among English Albums
in conclusion, confirmed Legends have:
1) BIgger albums sales than singles sales
2) an album bigger than their debut

Madonna and Whitney's songs defined the sound of the 80's.
Janet's new jack swing sound was iconic and screamed late 80's.
Mariah/Celine/Whitney had the 90's soundtrack smashes and ballads
Britney/Gaga/Rihanna's music at their prime represented that time period.
With Beyonce she was just kind of there with a hit here and there (until 2009). Her consistency is crazy though. Her career trajectory definitely reminds me of Tina Turner's.

lol @ bey never had a period of hit after hit. but she was billboards number 1 radio artist for the last decade
and the highest female on the decade list with her band being the only 1 following up close behind her.
the way y'all try to rewrite history
