I don't get why her sellability is tarnished by the internet? Regardless of how the album sells it's very nice she's put so much work into the album. I never felt she would light the charts on fire as she did in the early days, but her last album was a mess. It can only be a good thing for her to be putting in this effort.

Her image is tarnished because of Fantasy Ride and Basic Instinct era, but that is beyond the point.
Billboard changed the formula on how songs chart now, which is why Rihanna's Diamonds (for example) already went #1 on the R&B/Hip-hop charts.
Basically, the chart no longer benefits from urban radio as it did before. Which is why Ciara's Ride was able to peak at #3 on R&B/Hip-hop because of urban radio airplay.
Songs that were on the charts that were charting high right before the rule change are now slowly going down because of this new rule and because the songs are not selling well. The only songs maintaining a steady pace are the ones that are selling the most.
I honestly feel that Ciara might do a little better in terms of charting position compared to Basic Instinct, but not in overall success, that the label is seeking.
At this point, I'm not even sure if something like "Overdose" will save the album or itself in that matter.
I love "Got Me Good" bu that's not gonna be the smash hit Ciara needs. My opinion.
