Why do people view music videos differently than they do movies? I don't understand what the difference is when the artist is obviously playing a character and telling a story. Not everything is rainbows and sunshine on screen bc not everything is rainbows and sunshine in reality. What's with the "OMG! Torturing that poor woman was disasteful!" comments when people live for thriller/slasher/horror films daily? Shut up
!!!

Literally every person i showed this to were shocked and frightened.
So i know you are just lying because you're full of hate.
Some parts in the middle were a tad bit slow, and the video could've been tightened a little more but... Rihanna also had a hand in directing this? She definitely has a feel for nuanced shots and looks. Color me impressed
I've always liked and supported Rihanna. But this era is a mess. Horrible songs. This is one of her worst videos ever. It's crass, it's gross and pointless. I feel kinda feel sorry for her.

I never thought she could get back on her high horse from just a video but boy did that video did it for her, **** the stunning visuals and astethics, this is a gory cinematic climax with a very funny, classic build up, kind of reminds me of wild things and the part where she's covered up in blood is obviously her Carrie moment, also ohmygod her facial expressions and acting, it feels like she genuinely is representing an oppressed member of society that doesn't get his rightful check(only judging by her face) feels like she really got hurt by that accountant bitch, love how she channeled that into this video
