On Day 2, the Nadia Oh saga came to an end when "Taking Over the Dancefloor" was eliminated at #70. Even though she performed poorly in this rate, we all know she is one of the most promising young artists of her generation, so who cares what pressed haters think?
As we move into Day 3, there are a few girls who are in obvious danger of elimination. The first is CocknBullKid, who witnessed the elimination of three of her singles tonight. She now has just two singles remaining. Joining CocknBull is Rita Ora and Yasmin. Ora, who lost "How We Do (Party), is left with just her UK #1 debut "Hot Right Now". Yasmin has lost three of her five songs in the first two days and only has "On My Own" and "Finish Line" left in her arsenal.
Conversely, there are three women who have yet to be harmed in the rate. Laura Marling, Rebecca Ferguson, and Delilah are all still at 100%. While Delilah and Rebecca only have four songs and three songs, respectively, in this rate, Marling so far has been the most impressive with an outstanding nine songs in the rate. Surely some of these ladies' songs must be coming up in the next few days?
One rivalry that has been mentioned so far in the thread has been that of Katy B and Ellie Goulding. Both girls had songs eliminated tonight, but how will the rest of their singles do? Are they heading for a Top 10 showdown, or will they each have shocking eliminations on Day 3? Other artists who lost songs today are Emeli Sandé, Anna Calvi (each lost one), V V Brown, and Charli XCX (both V V and Charli have three of their six singles remaining).
Cher Lloyd and Paloma Faith, the two polarizing artists that have seen their stans squabble a bit tonight, were both MIA tonight, but will that be the case tomorrow? It would be interesting to see their stans go at it if they both had songs eliminated!
Tune in to Day 3 tomorrow for answers to all these questions
