I think what AI should do is let AI rest for 1 and a half year instead of a yearly break. Scout the talents, add Canadian or British contestants too or even mexicans who could speak decent english. It's pretty clear that AI is suffering from brand fatigue and that americans have long since move on from generic american idol contestants they keep on churning every year.
I felt like the show has gone down in quality and ratings without a competitive male contestant. I think the girls left aren't that strong at all. Maybe Amber could prove me wrong cause she's the most marketable singer left in there.
