Idol ends on May 22. When you think about it, there isn't a lot of time between that.
If she's doing a Q4 album she should perform the single at the VMAs in NYC. But it all depends on when she's releasing the album. Nothing is coming before Q4 though. That's for sure.
She could push it back and do a mixtape this summer, then release the album sometime in March.
She wouldn't do that, and I wouldn't want her to.
If she were to release a mixtape this summer then she shouldn't release a new album until May 2014, all depending on the hype stemming from this mixtape.
When you look at Justin Timberlake, he released his single in January and released his album exactly 2 months later.
