back in the day (and when I say this I mean back in the 80s)...labels would basically bribe radio programmers with money and other luxuries so that an artist's song could be played a lot
Payola is illegal now but now we have a modern day way of legally doing the same thing and that's with a contracted radio deal (BTW, GMAYL, YDO, and others have had it)
Now members accuse any song that does really well on radio but not so well on ITunes as payola (Mirrors and Take Back The Night)
Most people that throw the "p-word" around do so in a tongue-in-cheek manner or as a form of playful shade, but some people that aren't very familiar with how radio works legitimately think that it's real.
When were these songs released?

38. Karmin - Acapella
Karmin's holding up really well
Danielle Bradbery is at #35 and Fifth Harmony is at #77 and they released on the same day and climbed far higher.

Was just gonna post this Thought it would have stabilized in the top 60 :O Hope this song smashes or at least sees a good amount of success. Something between Hello and Brokenhearted would be nice . Anyways there other songs sound very promising :O. Only rapping songs that I actually enjoy listening too XD. +
34. Counting Stars. HONESTLY THIS NEEDS TO SMASH. I will not be happy if OneRepbulic doesn't at least get one smash on their amazing album :\. Do they usually send to Hot AC first before POP because POP hasn't touche this song at all but its doing well on Hot AC :c

Girl, payola dates back to the 1950s. That's actually when the government intervened.
1D will fall off quickly as usual. As long as Phillip gradually increases like Safe and Sound, I'd be happy
True, just hope that it reaches Top 20 . I think Top 10 is out of the question since HAC updates are falling and AC is stalling.
Don't worry about AC. AC is always like that and it likes to fluctuate ALOT. Hopefully Gone Gone Gone gets some of that Just Give Me A Reason longevty on there .

Wouldn't mind another 12-week reign. "Home" did it.
