Okay, this was easily the best sing off of the season.
Simon got WAY too cocky. Listen to him 1:37 at "...I'm going to miss you. Marcus you're going home, I'm afraid your luck is up". Drew & Rachel's eliminations serve as back to back blows to his ego.

A good amount of X-factor viewers are young adults and children. Rachel could most definitely capitalise on her newfound success with them through Disney/Nickelodeon moreso Marcus in the Urban/pop market.
Name an artist that is similar to Marcus that had major success in recent years? :crickets:

Rachel doesn't have a career in mainstream music. Who is going to request songs by a little 14 year old girl? No one. Sure she could join a Disney show, but this show was looking for a star.

That's why I said "in a few years." She just needs to concentrate on school right now.
And going the DeRulo route isn't an ideal one. Usher and Chris Brown are dancers with sex appeal. Marcus needs to be really manufactured to be as appealing as those two. He reminds me too much of Bobby Valentino, Miguel, Lloyd and all those other R&B 'nobodies.'
LA Ried creates stars. Pink, Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, he knows em when he sees them. He will take Marcus, Chris & Astro on no matter what, I garuntee you.
Rachel could be something big with a kids' market. Marcus is not getting ANYTHING. lol.
