The Guardian posted an article about the PR game in 2016 and there's an A-list publicist who had this to say about Taylor.
Quote:
Publicist M agrees, outlining a six-point career resuscitation timeline for Swift: “She should retire the ridiculous squad, take the paps off the pay roll, fire the team and disappear to her Rhode Island mansion for a year to grow up and realise she is not, and has never been, a victim. Then she should come back with a killer album that makes no reference to this past year.” Sensible advice.
After her show for the superbowl she should either a) go on a small theater tour were it's just her and instruments (in vain of the Brave Enough Tour), then remain quiet until mid-late 2018 or b) write songs for other artists for another year, remain out of the public eye, focus on an album that is completely different from the others an release it Q2 2018.
I have to admit, her not being in the press the past couple of weeks has been refreshing, and I hope it continues to be like this through the new year until her show.
We're getting the single in August. I want a more confessional, solo written, darker, more mature, sexier album.
I want songs like All My Friends by Tinashe, Somebody Else by The 1975. I want dark electro synthpop with alternative, rock, and urban influences.
It's not about flopping, it's about quality material. Anything released next year will be the tried "he broke my heart" "they hurt me" "hate me all you want I don't care" message.
I need her to come thru with the "I said I don't care but I secretly do"/self doubt/anxiety themes
Quality material can came at any point, there's no correlation between time taken to write an album and the level of material produced.
I genuinely think she could write an amazing album in a short period of time, and this go around she's had more time than she has ever had. I think this past year has provided her enough material for three AOTYs.
Adele waited years to release & served the mediocre 25 There's really no correlation between time taken to write/create music & how good it could be. I want an album in 2017.
Why is kworb only updating the streams of IDWLF on Taylor's Spotify? Her older songs are getting a good push atm, so her daily streams should be higher.
Top artists (daily streams)
23 Taylor Swift 2,899,447
Her material should be enough
I mean, Adele takes long time because she wrote about her baby and then scrapped it
But we all know Taylor is smarter songwriter, she should've known her album direction by now. Even Better Man already sounds like something she will write for TS6 (supposedly)
I just want Taylor to write about her personal experiences in the confessional way she has in the past. I know 1989 was different in a lot of ways, which made sense looking at her life at the time but she's obviously been on a roller-coaster of emotions over the past 2 or so years so she should just write what she feels and ignore any haters.

People keep saying her song writings are predictable, it`s gonna be about that boy she dated last year, about her fuel with Katy. And people will think the same about next album like it`s gonna be about Calvin, Tom, Kimye, ....
But the thing about Taylor is she knows how to make things fresh by the way she approach the subject, like i expect songs about Harry but i didnt expect Style or Out of the wood to have lyric like that, it`s not about you broke my heart anymore, but it`s more mature... we have a great time but things went crazy....
So Taylor`s music is never boring to me, she knows how to find a new way to tell the story as she`s getting older.
Maybe the GP doesnt get that and label Taylor as predictable but anyway they all will be perch to hear her story regardless.
