You're right she could. But, I believe Adele is more Alanis/Norah than Shania. No one really heard of her until album 2. I bought /loved Adele "19". I still think Amy Winehouse was more talented.
Imagine if she pulls a Miley at the VMAs this year.
She hasn't worked this hard for 8 years to pull a career suicide move like that.
