I guess the song (remix) is very popular with weekend parties and such. Looks like its the same deal with Blake's "Boys 'Round Here." It seems to get a nice boost on weekends, too.

Cruise will probably stick around in the top 20 through August (right before school starts). I've heard it at a few events while going out on a Saturday night

I'm so excited for GaGa to chart again in August. I miss her presence on the iTunes Charts. She always sparks a lot of intrigue. July/August are typically very stagnant months for the music industry & this year is no exception. Hip hop has easily ruled Summer 2013 in the album field. I love the diversity of music right now & sometimes it's good to be stagnant.

I do kind of miss GaGa's eccentrity in the music industry. Artists took it too far with trying to "top" her but I love that she inspired artists to take daring leaps in their imagery. They weren't copying her, but she literally started an image movement. It was exciting. Her BtW image may have contributed to today's minimalism but the GP did not like her style that era. But TFM especially really impacted the industry. Of course, that really showed in iTunes performance.

I'm hoping her new single has that it-factor Bad Romance had. That song was bold, experimental, ahead of its time & had a huge, catchy chorus.
