What is a Charmbracelet and why do you think it's acclaimed?

I'd take Charmbracelet over her dusty AC fests from the beginning of her career. I've tried to get through them but apart from a few gems those first three albums are so dated and cheesy.

Sorry but I don't see how anything on Charmbracelet even competes with her flawless 90s albums. Charmbracelet is just so mediocre and boring to listen to, its lyrically great but the vocals are a whispery mess. Just my opinion though...

That's the thing (for me). The vocaly on the first three albums may be amazing but those songs for a big part just don't do it for me. Of course, this is just a personal opinion.
