Adele probably would be the best comparison, but at the same time, she's achieved enough to be a little above the "pop-girl" bubble. Not to mention, Adele's songs seemed to have endless space between them, whereas M&RL have had an almost uninterrupted flow from one hit to another. And through three singles (as Same Love will probably explode as well, but this is a major assumption on my part), at that. Which isn't really something Gaga and Katy were able to do.
