Britney Spears: NBA All-Star Halftime Show
Britney performed during the NBA All-Star Halftime show tonight performing a small set-list of songs off her "American Dream" album.
Performance
The performance started with Britney center stage as a slow version of Deranged started playing. The stage set was filled with magazine covers with false headlines. Britney walked around the stage as she sang Deranged, ripping off the fake headlines and revealing the truth. Britney then started singing "Where'd The Good Times Go?". Britney belted out the song for a only a mere thirty seconds before a bunch of ladies in army outfits swarmed the stage. An urban
instrumental started playing as the girls performed a technical dance break for a minute. The girls were giving it their all and Britney looked sexy dancing around and bending her body. A voice was then projected through loudspeakers "Target identified, Spears in sight"...
Gimme Your Best started playing as a SWAT tank rose from underneath the stage on the opposite end of Brit Brit. Twenty men came out of the tank as they shot red lasers at Britney and the girls while the first verse of Gimme Your Best hit. The girls avoided the lasers by moving very flexibly, both groups approached one another as the chorus started. Britney and the gurls kicked and pushed the guys away using their flexible moves as Britney said "you're gonna have to do better than that..." the girls started dancing to Gimme Your Best while water rained down on them. The girls were wet and flipping their wet hair all over while touching each others bodies.
Britney got up and started dancing while fire shot up around her in a circle, Spears performed a dance break while the other ladies remained on the ground and the SWAT men started shooting lasers at her. Britney avoided the lasers and fire simultaneously as she danced with lots of passion to the final chorus of Gimme Your Best. Spears vocals were on point for the majority of the performance. The fire then went away as Spears approached the SWAT team. She pushed many of them out of her way and "kicked" a few others to the ground. Britney then found one she liked and grabbed him as smoke surrounded the stage and the performance was over.
NBA promoted Britney by announcing that viewers should "Buy Spears' new album 'American Dream and hot single 'Gimme Your Best' in stores everywhere and on iTunes".
