Is there any solo male or maybe not solo idk J-Pop artist worth of checking nowadays ?
Yamapi was never my cup of tea aside from a couple of singles. And I never liked that old ugly one, forgot his name.
I like Hoshino Gen. He had one of the biggest singles last year, even though it's not exactly among my faves by him (called SUN), and his last album is pretty cute.
I'm gonna assume none of y'all have heard AKB's latest single in full but I'm here to tell you that you're all missing out. Assuming you aren't a music snob and/or are willing to listen to some fun songs with moderately decent production and melodies, then it's one of their best releases to date.
Yasashii Place, Madonna no Sentaku, Ama Nojaku Batta, and Nanka, Chotto, Kyuu ni are all amazing.
