it'll be exciting when she announces it but it takes away a little bit since we already know it (well, if you believe RD that much).

The GP/casual fans might not know/follow the rumours so maybe Rihanna doesn't care much about the dates being revealed before her saying anything officially (seeing that RD is spilling the tea now all willy nilly).

Well, if Samsung is buying TIDAL, it makes sense. Either that or the album streams through Samsung phones for a week. I mean, if they're giving here $25 million (or a deal worth $25 million) they have to be getting something substantial in return.

Samsung is most likely getting a cut from her endorsements and money made from the tour. They'll also get album money, so it's in their best interest NOT to **** up the release.

I don't know of any sponsorships that work in that manner and I'm absolutely sure they're not taking a cut of any of her endorsements. They're likely getting exclusive content from her (may be an exclusive release for one week as we've heard). She's essentially endorsing their product and they're banking on her name, notoriety and exclusive content to generate more sales of their product.

The Samsung thing is more than a simple endorsement though. $25 million... that's way too much for it to be a simple "endorse our product" kind of deal. That's enough to pay all the recording sessions, tour prep, album rollout... in return she will have to do a lot for them. They will get paid back regardless of what happens, which means they could be getting cuts from her other endorsement deals. The goal is that it's mutually beneficial, but if things don't work out on Rih's end they're still getting their millions back one way or another.
