You care about your dad and its not about the words being used but how it can possibly portray him later on to people in society. Its like how gay people can call each other fa**ot etc without it being considered offensive to one another however outside it is a strong negative connotation. And you love and care for your father so you don't want him to be seen in a negative light in the event he says something like that to wrong person.

Using I messages such as I feel rather than you need to would help mitigate conflict as he shouldn't see you as attacking hm but rather more so just dissappointed. Disappointment is a stronger tool to initiate change than frustration and anger. Hope that helps

One of my cousins was in the same predicament with my grandfather, he wasn't hateful he just didn't understand the negative connotations underlining words like that and didn't know what pain it could cause using them, even "jokingly". She did exactly what qm said, told him she was disappointed in him and explaining what was wrong and so hurtful about those words helped the situation because he got to see it from her side. Its better to let them know that they've let you down / "disappointed" you as he said because it'll make them try harder because he obviously does love and care for you so the last thing he would want to do is hurt you or make you feel uncomfortable.

Plus, is anyone else thinking this "Lizzy solo debut" is just gonna be like the Cupcake Project which was dubbed her "solo debut" in 2012? Even if it is promoted like a proper single, I doubt it's gonna take up too much time, and the project group has confirmed to have already been shot and done.
