I doubt they were ever going to release Tunnel Vision as a single since it never had a release date even before he dropped the video. It was probably just something extra to fill up the gap between the two parts since the video for Take Back the Night likely won't be coming until next month. A new single isn't mentioned on the iTunes banner either, only that you can pre-order part II, and he's dominating the albums chart. You get the song once you pre-order the album and those purchases don't count on the song chart. And I'm sure Take Back the Night would be top 10 if it didn't have 4 versions available. Everyone must be confused about his current single since he has three songs in the top 15 right now: Holy Grail, Take Back the Night, and Mirrors.
It was a hit in Europe but it didn't quite become a worldwide smash, and now "Summertime Sadness" is taking off in America but nowhere else
