If you're really a huge fan, it's common knowledge to what I've just described.
She performed the song to promote the album.
Born To Die was actually supposed to be the first single/radio single. I can't find the receipts right now but it was posted by sammi( idk where she is now) from all access page but later it was pulled for unknown reasons.
Then later Blue Jeans was announced as the first single then Pulled again.
Then came Y&B. The music video was supposed to premiere on April 23rd but was delayed for unknown reasons. The song was supposed to be sent to radio even sooner but strangely it wasn't.
Then came the day that Y&B scalp iTunes peaking at #3 with no radio support whatsoever.
Then inter scope scrambling, rush their ass to put the song for adds on radio.
Later it became the most added the song on Top 40. Z100 also played the song.
Then it was pulled from radio for unknown reasons AGAIN.
Then SS was announced as a single.
Both VG and Born To Die actually received airplay without being officially released.
Young & Beautiful was also played on z100 so the poor airplay reception is not a thing.
It's interscope fault for not trusting Lana.
They should have sent Young & Beautiful for adds way before the digital release but they were not confident with the song. They were wrong since it did very well digitally. It was too late to sent the song for adds.
Fin.
