I just finished Murder House, I watched it in three days

I prefer it that way (that's the same way I watched Asylum) because it helps me keep some of the smaller plot points straight. I had trouble coming back after the long break to Coven, I had to read the summary of the last episode before the break on Wikipedia
Asylum > Murder House > Coven, in terms of my preference. All three are hugely entertaining, beautiful, and really quality television. But I prefer my American
Horror Story to be scary. Plus, the characters in Asylum are so dynamic and well developed, from Lana to Sister Jude to Dr. Arden… for all of them, at different points in the season you were rooting for them or wanting them to die. Really well written and really scary at times. Plus, I love Zachary Quinto, so I was really glad they made good use of him. He was also a stand out in Murder House imo.
As far as Murder House, I loved it, but the ending kind of bothered me with how
everything got wrapped up so nicely with Vivien forgiving Ben and them living happily ever after in the house, with the Christmas tree and all that. Plus Constance had no repercussions for all the pain she'd caused.
It just felt a little pretty. Asylum's ending wrapped everything up with a pretty bow too, but only for the characters that really deserved it (
Lana
) and it felt satisfying. At the end of Coven, Cordelia (and Misty, lbr) was the only person worth rooting for because at one point or another, everyone had been horrible. I really wanted Queenie to die, she started out as a racist and really rude and then suddenly in the last episodes she's like a frikken angel. I still loved it, but I didn't love any of the characters (even Cordelia was a bit of a whiny wretch at times) like I did Lana and the ghosts from Murder House.
****, I guess I felt like writing an essay.
