Britney Spears On "Good Morning Britain"
(formerly Daybreak UK)
 
Britney spent the day of July 23rd in England performing for the Queen and having a date of her "Naughty Girl Tour" in London, her day in the UK started with an appearance on "Good Morning Britain" at around 7 AM. Spears stopped by for an interview and performance of her #1 hit "Gimme Your Best" which she seems to be promoting this week instead of her latest #1 hit "Touchin Me". Britney revealed on MTV unplugged that it was due to Rihanna being busy with her schedule, Britney divulged into more details during the interview.
Highlights:
-What's going on? I love "Gimme Your Best" and I'm happy you're giving it more promotion because it totally deserves it but why stop with Touchin' Me?
Britney: Well I think you have to understand that Rihanna is a busy girl I mean she's such a huge star and she has her own things to do
-That can't be the only reason come on tell me more Britney!
Britney: I think it's because we honestly put in so much work and in the end it sold way less than we expected.. it's not worth doing all the work together to get worse results than we get apart from one another. I love Rihanna, I thought we were great together but we got way less than we expected for the work we put in. I mean think about it, if we can spend less time by not having to work together the whole week and instead just work with our own schedule and get better results, it's just not worth the unnecessary effort. Some collabs really benefitted, sadly ours did not and it's ok we just have to move on.
-Your album was #1 last week but it definitely didn't meet expectations sales wise after two big #1 hits, is that why you're focusing on promoting the album more than a new song this week?
Britney: Yeah definitely, I was surprised to see that I couldn't reach gold status with the album.. I love the album so I'm not gonna just drop it, I really want "American Dream" to do well.
-You got 5 VMA nominations, that's incredible! How does it feel to have your work appreciated and get that many nominations?
Britney: It feels great, I'm so happy that I got nominated five times. It's an honor really because you put so much hard work into something and just to have people think the direction you're going in is good it's just an amazing feeling especially when there is so many artists releasing top notch videos and so many artists promoting their work and direction.
-You wrote almost every song off your "American Dream" album, this is different for you since in the past you haven't been much of a songwriter.
Britney: It was totally different for me, yeah.. I just really had a certain direction I wanted to go with this album and I thought I was the only one that could actually make it happen. You know you can only rely on yourself if you want something done right.. so I relied on myself and I really think it worked out, I love the album.
-It's almost like you're the new face of Apple, I mean your face is literally in the Apple on all the stores around the world.. did you expect the company to really revolve their latest promotional campaigns around you?
Britney: I didn't expect it really but I'm happy they did. We have a good partnership and we both benefit from it, so I'm happy to be a part of Apple's campaigns, their products are top notch man.

Britney also performed her hit song "Gimme Your Best" on a small circular stage. Spears was laying on top of a white piano in a white wedding gown when the performance started while holding a microphone. Spears sang the first verse of "Gimme Your Best" a-capella while laying across the piano. Smoke surrounded the stage as Spears got up and picked her gown up, she swiftly moved and sat on the piano seat. She started playing the piano beat of "Gimme Your Best" as she sang the first chorus of the song, the only instrumental was Spears playing the piano. Britney then got up after the first chorus as an orchestral version of "Gimme Your Best" started playing, Spears sang the song moving through the smoke with her long gown. Britney then ripped off the gown revealing a sexy white lingerie set and white latex boots as she danced to the Junkie XL remix of "Gimme Your Best". Britney was surrounded by a circle of fire as she did heavy dance moves to the final up-beat chorus. Britney did a back handspring into a split as smoke covered her body and the performance was over.

But that's just how the demo is right now. Unless you deliberately make your sim look like they're 12, the Young Adults stay looking a tad older. I'll try bringing her age down.

Britney continued her day in England at Loose Women after visiting Good Morning Britain early in the morning. Spears performed for the Queen at the "Royal Variety Performance" and performed a date of her "Naughty Girl Tour" after stopping by the show. Spears appeared on Loose Women for an interview and performance to promote her latest album "American Dream" and lead single "Gimme Your Best".

Britney: It took a year to make

Britney: Yeah I'll be performing at the Twickenham Stadium in London to a sold out crowd of over 80,000 people, I'm so excited honestly.. I love all my UK fans! *crowd cheers*

Britney: Potentially this upcoming week, I'm debating about whether or not I should release it this week or hold off, I also haven't really decided what song I'm gonna use, there's definitely a few top contenders though.
-I still jam to Gimme Your Best so I am happy you aren't paying it dust anymore! You moved onto Touchin' Me too quickly gurl! Gimme Your Best is a banger and if you have not bought this bop already you need to get it but make sure you get the album though that's a priority for all you people watching.
Britney: Yeah I'm happy to give it some more love! It's definitely one of my favorite songs on the album.

Britney performed wearing a black latex catsuit to the original version of "Gimme Your Best". The performance started with a big army tank on center stage. Spears came out of it with other army gurls as "Gimme Your Best" started playing. The girls danced on top of the tank for the first few verses before jumping off, the girls moved away from it and got in a triangle formation for the first chorus. Britney was at the peak as they performed a technical dance break to the chorus, they then all did a leg kick and held their leg up high as Britney chanted with ha "woohs" showing that she was singing live. The girls then got on the ground and danced around as water rained down on them, they were flipping their wet hair and touching each others bodies. Britney got up as the girls remained on the ground not moving. Britney danced as the water stopped and fire surrounded her. Britney gave it her all and did a back handspring into a split to end the dance break, her legs almost touched the fire! Water then rained down to put out the fire as Britney moved sensually on the ground while she descended underneath the stage and the show was over.
A picture of Britney's album cover + "Gimme Your Best" single cover was displayed on the screen before the end credits with the caption "in stores everywhere now".

Selena Gomez's Birthday Bash
 
When a pop icon celebrates her birthday, the stars will come out to play. The now 22 year old Selena Gomez celebrated her birthday at Club Lure in Hollywood. It was a nice event, with friends and family -- and half of young hollywood. Ashley Benson, Chantel Jeffries, the Kardashians, Kanye West, Carmelo & Lala Anthony, Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose, Leighton Meester and Blake Lively, Draya Michele, Katy Perry, Julianne Hough, The Game, French Montana, Schoolboy Q, the entire A$AP mob, YG, Cassie and Diddy, Jhene Aiko, Christina Millian, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Tinashe were just a few of the notable names at the event. Chris Brown & Karrueche weren't only there, but happened to actually plan the party for Sel. The night is said to have been extremey fun-filled, with impromptu performances from Chris and Wiz Khalifa and tons of throwback hits were played.
While birthdays are usually when you receive gifts, Selena actually gave everyone a gift. She premiered the video for her song "Best" at the party! The video is in a very anarchy, mosh pit, banger type place. Scenes in dark alleys and on empty streets are also featured. Selena's bestfriends Ashley and Chantel were in the video as well as some of Selena's other friends. Selena is wearing a red flannel which cuts off at her stomach, light-wash high waisted denim shots and black Dr. Martens. Not to mention the Givenchy black skully. Selena commented on the video afterwards saying "the scenery was just supposed to be really punk and mosh and badass and I think we accomplished that." The video will receive a TV premier on 7/24 at 8PM EST on MTV, and will debut on VEVO right after that.
While Selena is very infamous for her always moving, always interesting love life, The past few months have been relatively quiet regarding any male drama. That all changed tonight. Sources from the party say Selena was seen getting extremely cozy with son of rapper and music mogul P. Diddy, Quincy Combs. Keep in mind, Selena's bestfriend Chantel used to date Quincy's brother Justin. Could the lack of rumors regarding Selena's dating life just been the calm before the storm? Zedd: Moment of Serenity World Tour – Night 2 (La Ronde)
Zedd continued his worldwide Moment of Serenity Tour at La Ronde in Montreal, Canada, tonight. Despite the name, this park is still a Six Flags park. This concert was held at a smaller venue than the last, at a waterside outdoor theater. As this leg will have varying stage specifications to conform to various venues, there isn’t a specified stage design (it also isn’t completed for the other legs yet). Besides, it probably is best not to have expensive stage equipment sitting outside, exposed to the elements. Anyway, the stage pretty much consists of the stage itself and an HD video screen, as well as the necessary equipment for the concert, such as lighting and speakers.
The concert started at approximately 6 pm local time. The park closed early for this concert. 3,834 fans packed into the seating at the venue, while 1,021 more fans packed into lawn seating space just outside the venue. Zedd chose a random person from the audience close to him to meet him. Despite this concert being smaller than the one at Six Flags America, it is sure to bring in a good amount of revenue to the tour. Concertgoers have all declared the concert amazing, despite an official stage design.
The concept of the concert is that Zedd is a DJ working his way up in the world. He starts out with an introduction that explains the backstory of the concert. After the introduction, Zedd finds himself DJing at a house party. He does a couple of tracks for them and then he leaves. There is an interlude of Conduit prior to him arriving at his next gig: a rave. He plays the Gaga-inspired track “Slay,” and then Lady Gaga herself makes a surprise appearance to sing “Temple,” “Stache,” and “Aura.” Zedd then realizes he needs to break free of this monotone life of DJing. He runs off the stage, leaving in the middle of “Shave It Up.” He returns when the song finishes and begins to break free of his monotone life of being a small-time DJ to make his move into what he was longing for, the EDM industry as a whole. Of course, during part of this he plays “Break Free.” He ends up finding success and no longer has a single problem in his life.
During the concert, every song from Serenity was performed. The concert started out with “Beautiful Sky,” which transitioned smoothly into “G.U.Y.” The rest of the concert incorporated all of the songs of Serenity, some of Clarity, and two Zedd songs from ARTPOP. As the concert ended, the audience wanted an encore. He then played “Clarity” and “Follow You Down”, and after “Follow You Down” ended, roaring applause came from the audience as people left to buy Serenity and “Temple” at shops and booths nearby the venue.

How is this new metric I added? It shows that even though Night 2 grossed less, it still grossed more per ticket, so it was just the size of the venue.
