So I'm pissed about a lot of things from school today. Some people wore Santa hats today and the principal said no "holiday" hats are allowed. Someone dressed up as Santa and was forced to take it off because it would insult anyone who doesn't celebrate Christmas. Sad and ridiculous what the world has come to

it's true. this has always been a rule in public schools. they're not allowed to celebrate Christmas. people of different cultures, religions go to public school. somebody could have got offended, told their parents and it would have blown up in a lawsuit.

Santa claus is a religious symbol? It's not like people were dressing up as Jesus. And why is it okay to for them to say Happy Hannakah if everything Christmas is banned? And why should it offend anyone? I don't get offended by a Jew wearing a yamica or a Muslim wearing a hejab.

they can't even do Hannakah stuff either. it's public school. their rules are STRICT. Santa Claus has to do with Christmas which has to do with religion.

Well the principal has said Happy Hannakah so obviously something isn't right. What is wrong with saying both? And why would anyone be offended? If it doesn't apply to you, you shouldn't care enough to be insulted. If someone is insulted by "Merry Christmas", then they clearly don't have anything better to do with their lives
