But i'm up for a good debate.
Please explain to me how the standards in hip hop over the last 15 years are higher than in mainstream.
There's a reason why people try to go mainstream to make more money and reach more of an audience and it's not to attain a lower standard.
By the way, it's not to shame hip hop because I was raised in the best decade to do it.
It's the show how two artists can do similar things to become famous and yet one can sustain and another can't due to standards.
Hip hop community glorifies alot of things that aren't considered high standard but people eat off of it.
Mainstream will deal if it's popular but also make light of it.
