Sure Twice snatched the album sales but considering Gfriend literally had nothing but talent and determination vs. a girl group coasting the waves of their former label mates and ENGAGEMENT (with the public) in a TV show, it's clear who did more impressively here.

Besides, it's 2016 hunty. TWICE are still riding the same debut while Gfriend moved on to have increasingly successful comebacks culminating in a 70 hour PAK, their first #1 single, a #2 album (poor Twice) and what's already shaping up to be their second week at #1.

I guess Twice's fanbase sales are cute though, hope the public take a break from Gfriend and stan them one day

I wasn't at first, I was comparing Glass Bead's rise from nugudom to sell only 150k less than Twice. Then the Twice stans (Gfriend antis?) decided to ignore the fact that Twice had a much better kick off due to their position within JYP and therefore the industry compared to Gfriend, so I had to take measures.

Besides if Gfriend are as irrelevant and floppy as people are stating, it shouldn't matter which comeback I use for comparison. According to y'all they aren't even getting bigger so it seems fair to me.

Exactly why I do not bother with this "rivalry"

There is NOT enough receipts other than TWICE's debut being more successful than GFriend, and once you bring that up they will start crying how TWICE had their own show, and the success is suddenly "predictable!!11" (as if we have not witnessed the mess when Like Ooh Ahh was under-performing at 1st), etc,

It's pointless & FORCED.

We need to wait for TWICE's following comebacks to see if they can maintain the hype.
