Though not as successful than their previous hits, "Ignorance" charts high as #15 in my personal countdown. With this song, their music has much matured more than before. "ignorance is your new best friend..." is my favorite line of the song with its catchy hook. The video is simply great but with a unique concept. At first, the camera view is so disturbing but somehow it suited the song with its rock vibe. The song can be overrated or not, but for me it remains one of their underrated songs and definitely deserves more success in the charts.

Now here comes Halo's twin , well as most have said for having the same music, but for me they never sound much alike at all. It reached high as this because one time I was so obsessed with this song and became one of the songs that I play almost everyday. This provides me some haunting feelings and give me chills with Kelly's voice over the lush string instrumentations. She looks great and beautiful for the video which is so classy and elegant. Just like the director, I was not contented because they never showed the true ending of it.

One of the greatest comebacks of this year is Green Day!. Know Your Enemy is blah at first to me, yet it was this second single that captured my amazement. Call it boring or lame or whatever, for me this song is one of the greatest of their releases. Most people in my place sing a lot with its sing-along chorus heartily, which is at the same time funny and patriotic. It also has an amazing music video which has a greenish lighting, and some particular scenes also explains the cover of their album. The best rock song for me this year! bow and worship!

Okay, seriously this is one of my biggest guilty pleasures this year! I used to hate Taylor, but with this song, I learned to love her music. An artist of such a young age, I am so impressed with her songwriting skills with this song, referencing Romeo and Juliet. My favorite part of the song is the climax of the bridge and the final chorus. It's like a real story that you tell someone of this song. The video depicts like a modern version of Rome and Juliet too. For me, this my most favorite song from her. Thank you Taylor for writing such a beautiful, "love story"! Thank you!

Oh my! really heavy radio airplay and monstrous digital downloads! Shocking!. I bet some fans like me rejoiced with its success and haters who just can't stand it not only raised their eyebrows. With this type of music, it is a first from a BEP courtesy of David Guetta which produces the song to have that jammin electro vibe. The video transcends the group into a party which I believe is a very fitting for this song. It's like I don't care about anything, I'll just part all night 'til the end!

I'm not a die hard Shakira fan, yet probably this is my most anticipated song of hers that I'm really dying to hear. When I first heard it, I was one of those who were like "OMG! This song is like out of the Earth! worship! amazing!"...and I ddin't regret it. But after some months later, I too was annoyed by it that it sounds dated. But the best thing about this is truly the amazing moves in this video. Watch it and what catches your eyes most is the one I'm referring to. Just like BEP, electro was incorporated by Shakira in her music. We'll find out later who uses it more also.
