They all "count" when it comes to overall reception of the album. Metacritic is not the be all, end all, people. These sites all have tons of people who visit their sites and read their reviews, thus meaning it's all positive promo.
Watching the Metacritic score is like tracking your favorite sports team's record throughout a season. To many stans, it is fun and does matter.

My point is that it makes no sense to discount or act like these positive reviews don't matter just because they don't count for MC. Like, let's say she receives 20 reviews all together and only 10 count for MC and 5 of those that count for MC are negative while the rest are positive. MC will show that it wasn't received well despite the fact that only 5 of the 20 reviews were bad.
Billboard, The Telegraph, Rolling Stones and the lazy bitches that broke their hips to trash ARTPOP better review this. Like, do some publications just review Gaga only when it's negative?

A bunch of those publications just wait to see what others are going to say first.

Does that make sense?
I wish metacritic was more like Rotten Tomatoes when it comes to music. I understand their reasons as to why they do what they do, but music is way more subjective compared to film. Being able to divide the score between all critics and top critics is a blessing.
Such a pity all these positive reviews aren't eligeble to Metacritic. I'd feel something like The Times would also be more credible than Slant Magazine but apparently not. They really need to re-vamp their site and review average score system.
On the title track, their vocals provide the fireworks {}, Gaga's brassy harmonies punctuating the way a horn session normally would have. But the album's best song, an understated "Don't Wait Too Long," belongs to Bennett.
LOL at all of you following reviews from flop sites. The sites that matter for MC, as I said earlier, won't touch this album. I've been following metacritic and its sources for years and I can predict how they will work and what they'll review or ignore.
