But these numbers are only based on a few merchants. It's a building chart. Christina could still be ahead of Lana when it's all said and done for the week.

You could be right but there isn't a huge margin for error:
Quote:
The Building Chart reflects the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week (which ends Sunday) as reported by six major merchants: iTunes, Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Starbucks, Target and Anderson Merchandisers. Billboard estimates that they make up about 85% of all U.S. album sales.
The building chart doesn't reflect what is going to happen. For instance RED is not going from being predicted to do 140k+ to less The Weeknd which is 95-100k+. But as said above, Lana could outdo her just because they're not more than 5k difference in predictions. I hope she does pass her.
Only either Lana or Legend X could be on the Top 5 now because the Twilight OST just passed the damn 1D album on iTunes charts.
I could be wrong though- how does the iTunes chart work? Is that 24 hour sales only then refresh? I mean 1D is to open with 500k+.

It's 24h rolling chart. So basically in last 24hours total Twilight album sales was bigger than 1D sales. But now Twilight IST is getting additional sales because of movie premiere and album initially was projected to sell more than both Lana and Christina.
