The smash #1 hit song of the summer, Blurred Lines this week reached #1 for sixth consecutive times, the solid performance of the song making Blurred Lines becoming the song with the most consecutive weeks at #1 of the year, surpassing Selena Gomez's "Come & Get It", which is currently the highest debut in the chart history and reached #1 for five consecutive weeks.
In addition, Blurred Lines also tied with Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" and Maroon 5's "One More Night" for the most consecutive weeks at #1 in the chart's history with six consecutive weeks.

In addition, "Blurred Lines" also currently ties with Rihanna's "We Found Love" and Maroon 5's "One More Night" (both spent 7 non-consecutive week at #1) for the most weeks at #1 in the chart history.
