Hell, in this case they weren't even referring to her as a whole. They were talking about a SONG, Starships. Starships is NOT a hip-hop/rap song. It's eurodance/pop. If she doesn't want people to call it a pop song, she shouldn't have recorded a pop song.

Nicki's not mad for people calling her pop Nicki's just mad for people ONLY calling her pop, as if she's totally switched up her game to another genre. There's still hip-hop in her album, but people only view her as purely pop now.
