Yasmin's reggae-inspired third single comes in at #57 in our rate. The song features Shy FX and Ms. Dynamite, both of whom will be seen later in the rate on other tracks! This song's a pretty good bop. I just wish Yasmin would have been a bit more creative with her drug metaphors. "I just want something to light up my morning, I just want something to light up my day." You ain't slick, girl. When I first heard this song, it vaguely reminded me of "Voodoo Doll" by Fergie (another song about drug usage; meth in Fergie's case), but I guess it's because they both are reggae-ish. They really don't sound alike at all
The song peaked at #50 in the UK, which is unfortunate!

This is the last elimination of the night. Hmm, even though Ellie put her own special mark on this (the "oh-ohs" at the end are a nice touch), it still feels reductive. It also doesn't suit the rest of her discography at all. Overall, it's just a bizarre cover choice! It still went to #2 in the UK, though. I can't believe Ellie's never had a #1
