It will be interesting to see if Cold Water gets to number one. A general rule that I've always followed is that songs in which a DJ/group of DJs is the lead artist don't go number one in the US. As far as I know, this decade only three songs have gone number one on the hot 100 with DJ's/ producers as the lead artist: Like a G6, Harlem Shake, and Uptown Funk. In all three of those cases tho, it was the debut single on the hot 100 of the DJ.
So, if I based off of hot 100 history (at least this decade), I would say that CW won't go number one considering it's not Major Lazer's debut song. However, if I base it off my gut and on how successful Justin has been with this sound recently, I would be very surprised if it didn't end up being a smash number one, especially with its wonderful performance already.

RedFoo of LMFAO produced both Party Rock Anthem and Sexy and I Know It.
While it stands a good chance to debut at #1, its still a bit of an uphill battle.
By my count, it would need at least 175k in sales, 17.5M streams and 40M in airplay. Not 100% certain that its sales will be that high. However, streaming and airplay could end up way higher.
It'll definitely be an exciting week to track. With CT's discount still going strong, it'll lodge another points gain next week as well.
