Because ARTPOP's "flop" sales were brought into discussion to the lead up to The Pink Print's release by, surprise, Nicki's own stans. Not to mention previous ATRL threads with most proclaiming it would easily outsell ARTPOP's 260k debut and because Nicki was more "relevant" than Gaga right now...
Yet here we are, Nicki isn't set to come close to ARTPOP's debut even with the new track downloads & steaming rule counting towards album sales and the bigger "viral" hit Anaconda. Oh well..
NOT less than Artpop with the most viewed 24 hours video ever.

It wasn't a great idea for Nicki to release right under Christmas. My local shop will get her album on Friday because of this, it's such a messy release.
This is a terrible showing for Nicki. She hasn't released anything single wise to get people out to the record stores. Anaconda and Feelin' Myself don't sell albums. Favorite or The Crying Game would sell albums.
