At least they replaced the piano with a synth. It's still so mediocre, though (this coming from a big No Doubt/Gwen fan). Again, "Settle Down" was better.
I don't think it's Gwen or Benny's fault. To be frank, Ryan Tedder's melodies are so uneventful and monotonous. The only time they haven't been was when he was ripping off "Nothing Compares To U" for Kelly and Beyonce.
She needs to take her time with this album, or just do the No Doubt one, because I'm sure the Shellback track they did back in 2013 was way better. I'm not exactly excited for Pharrell tracks, either. Benny Blanco can actually give her current production with the right writers (see: Ryn Weaver).
I love it though. Maybe it's because I don't have any preconceived notions of what music Gwen Stefani normally makes, but I like the song. Baby Don't Lie>>>>> L.A Love
