House did very well with 14.41 million viewers which helped to give fringe a nice bump with 13.36 million viewers! Great numbers and my guess is they both will continue to go up once the official season begins in 5 days.
The Biggest loser managed to grab 7.81 million viewers. This show while not always a winner in overall viewers always performs well in the 18-49 demo.
Big Brother 10 Finale did well with 7.63 million viewers. Dan was the first winner to win 7-0 against Memphis
ABC had the season finale of Wipeout with 5.96 viewers. Pleas ABC only shows this show in the summer for your own sake in the viewers.
90210 seems to be settling with viewers int he 3.33 million range which they got last night. Privileged had about 2.43 million viewers. Although the drop off wasn't too terrible, the shows just doesn't seem to grab the viewers who watch 90210. If they lose more viewers this may not be on the schedule come midseason!
Anyone catch Greek last night? I love that show so much. I need to find the data on that show now!

I just noticed TDK foreing numbers don't include France, Germany and Spain grossings. It made over 10 million in Italy, so I'm hoping at least additional 10 million for each of those 3 markets.

OTH is actually doing very well this season retaining most of GG's audience and also in the demos

Exciting night!
Lets see how everything went down last night on the first official night of the fall season!
ABC:
The premiere of season 7 of DWTS opened strong with an average of 21.12 million viewers over the 2 hours it was on. This opening was right on par with the year ago premiere.
Boston Legal's final premiere for their final season opened with 9.41 million viewers.
CBS:
Over on CBS the premiers of the comedy hour opened strong.
things went down like this
The Big Bang Theory with 9.36 million
How I Met Your Mother with 9.74 million
Two and a Half Men with 14.93 million (which i still do not understand the appeal)
Worst Week with 11.04 million
At a first glance Worst Week seems to have done well but with the inevitable drop off for any show in its second week CBS may have to worry. The premiere was below the premiere of The Rules Of Engagement which had the same slot last year. I predict The New Adventures of Old Christine will be back in this time slot by November...
CSI Miami opened with 16.87 million. Not too shabby.
NBC:
NBC may have to worry about Heroes eventually. The demos still are very strong which is a good sign but overall viewership was down from the 16.97 million last season. The hour clip show was hardly watched with 5.96 million viewers. The 2 hour season premiere opened with 9.89 million viewers. a drop of over 7 million is a bad sign. (O/T: WHO ELSE WAS SO HAPPY THEY LET KIRSTEN BEL LIVE <33)
Fox:
Disappointing is a word that describe the night.
Viewership for both Sarah Connor Chronicles and Prison Break are way down. TSCC averaged 5.81 million while Prison Break averaged 5.93. Prison Break a year ago averaged 7.41. The talk of a spin off may become more and more quiet now with the disappearing viewers.
CW:
The CW managed to hold off their competition pretty well. Gossip Girl Averaged 3.35 million and One Tree Hill averaged 3.10 which I believe are up from last years levels.
Overall: Aren't we all happy TV is back on?!
Tonight we have the premiers of ABC: Opportunity Knocks (new show), CBS: NCIS, The Mentalist (new show); Without a Trace, NBC: L&O: SVU, In addition to DWTS, 90210, Privileged, House, Fringe and The Biggest Loser
Also I suggest you check out ABC Family's Greek tonight @ 9. It is a great show!

^ WTF? Heroes is such a failure in the rating area I don't understand, the show is so damn good. Plot is worth over 20 million viewers easily. Although, it might be understandable because Volume 2 was pure crap, but Volume 3 seems to be the best ever! I really hope ratings go up, because I'll be mad if this show gets cancelled.

"The House Bunny" Run:
Date Rank Gross % Change Theaters Per Theater Total Gross Days
8/22/2008 2 $14,533,702 2,714 $5,355 $14,533,702 3
8/29/2008 4 $8,317,426 -42.77% 2,714 $3,065 $27,868,669 10
9/5/2008 4 $5,512,870 -33.72% 2,736 $2,015 $36,611,667 17
9/12/2008 6 $4,154,427 -24.64% 2,763 $1,504 $42,008,459 24
9/19/2008 10 $2,662,650 -35.91% 2,675 $995 $45,587,131 31
Well it's weekday numbers are so weak right now, so I think $48 million is more realistic. Still a good breakout hit for Anna.
