Emma is actually a very one note actress. Lucky for her that one note totally fits this character and the parts where it doesn't I'm sure she can stretch a bit. Disney could've put an unknown in the role and this still would've made BANK because of how big of a brand this is and the roll Dinsey is on lately with most of their properties.

Emma is perfect for a Disney role.
She's pretty and was the object of affection for the entire straight HP fandom (as the only attractive young woman in the cast).
She's relatable and not TOO gorgeous so she also has tons of female fans.
She's intelligent and socially aware and relatively "tame" (compared to many of her contemporaries) so older people like her as well.
And to top it all off, she's very talented. I can't believe people are saying she's "one-note." She stuck out like a sore thumb in HP because of how much better she was than Dan and Rupert.
