He sent her a tweet at the start of the month saying "Can we be best friends". 3 weeks later, she's on his single. Seems like this song has been in the pipeline since before that though, considering in reply she tweeted lyrics to this song.

On first look, this Skizzy Mars dude is a rapper with a pretty solid (and overwhelmingly hipster) fanbase. His beats are nice though, so this could be good.

She needs to start getting on more (and more famous) rappers' hooks. Her voice is perfect for them and I think that's one way she could get her name out there again.

There is always the future. At this point we just have to be happy with whatever she releases and I don't mean I personally will be dissapointed, but she has been off the radar for so long for the GP and has not released on a commercial label for years that she basically has to re-invent her career and that comes with experimenting with different sounds.

She has said multiple times recently that the tringle clarified to her that she's most comfortable in R&B music and part of the reason she went back into the studio is because she wanted a more cohesive R&B sound for the album. In the interview mentioned a few posts up, she also said When Love Hurts and the LoveJo2 mixtape got out the dance fever she had been feeling. Seems like this album will def. be R&B. Probably not "pure R&B", but R&B infused with pop like her first two albums.
