There is a big difference between the standard ATRL view of what you just described and the real picture. You cannot use the term "can't" when there have been numerous African Americans who have become massively successful and wealthy. If you view was reality then this wouldn't happen. The sad fact of the matter is that poor education and the dissolution of the black family are the two main reasons why many are socio economically behind. The first issue can be fixed with government intervention on some parts but you cannot just sit here and deny the fact that many people just don't have the drive to make the necessary changes to fix them. Yes, racism is real. Yes certain issues like the police brutality can be fixed with better policy but nothing will improve for African Americans when the most critical real issues the are plaguing some of these people are being blatantly ignored. Nobody talks about the staggering rate of black on black crime, the abuse of drugs among black youth and the fact that a disproportionate percentage of them also fail to finish high school. Thats what people actually being held down are dealing with but nobody cares unless it has something to do with white people...
But sit here and still believe I guess that the current state of America is literally chaining back an entire race of people from being successful :rip: Not when you have more African Americans educated and in higher positions of the workforce and government then ever seen history.

This is what kills me. This is the exact reason white people do not need to preach to black people about the issues in the black race. How dare you imply that because some black people have had success, that all of our problems are self inflicting and america has nothing to do with it. WOW. There are literally white people with high school diplomas garnering more success than black people with college degrees and you say that?
Also, what the hell do you mean by self inflicting? Why do black people have self inflicting problems? Like, Kyle, what's the root of all of these damn problems black people have? WHITE PEOPLE. Even the fact that you can say "black people problems" should show you right there how ****ed up this country in itself is. It is not fair. It is not equal opportunity for everyone. People are still being shown favoritism because of their skin color.... and you being a white person will not understand the **** because your privilege speaks for you. If slavery didn't happen, this wouldn't be an issue. Blame your damn power hungry ass ancestors for this ********.
