I think not having toxic reviews will help this open big. I think this is gonna do very well this weekend. Still don't get why they spent $150 million on this though...
I read in one (positive) review that the director went overboard with CGI. Plus the cast was definitely not cheap.

Ghostbusters does an impressive job of standing on its own as a freewheeling, marvelously cast supernatural comedy -- even if it can't help but pale somewhat in comparison with the classic original.
let's be real that's the best the film was ever going to get.
