Freak Show is worse, but honestly, neither were
great. The only highlight of Freak Show was Elsa, and the only highlight of Hotel was The Countess. I liked that Hotel made a lot more historical references, such as the serial killers and Rudolph Valentino.
Weak points of Hotel:
- The entire Lowe family
- The Commandments killer
- The blonde children
- James March
- Not featuring Liz Taylor and Ramona Royale more prominently
- Sally McKenna (Sarah Paulson is the highlight of the entire series, but it was one of her worst characters)
- Will Drake and that entire subplot
- The drillhead rapist thing
Weak points of Freak Show:
- The finale
- The character progression (they did well with describing back stories, but they stopped after each character's episode and killed off people way too quickly)
- Edward Mordrake
I guess Hotel had a few more weak points, but was overall better just for the simple fact Gaga was in it.
