I don't listen to much rock at all, yet I know all of those bands in the OP because they are all widely successful and it doesn't matter what color your skin is, if you're going to be on a Music and Pop Culture forum, you should know who some of the biggest and most successful bands in the entire world are.

Their first four albums were massive bombs and they flopped 15 singles in a row.

They didn't get big until Plans but that was over a decade ago so people have had plenty of time to at least have heard their name, as you have!
