Again we have another G-Eazy track make the Top 200 list. He returns with a cocky attitude with lots of party references. With an infectious chorus for every ****boy, Gerald backs it up with his immaculate flow serving us yet another flawless hip-hop track.
This fun dance track that of which is the perfect thing for the clubs is brought to us by daddy Diplo himself. While the song is based off a formula that we've seen a million times before, what really makes this song one of a kind is with the heavy drop that will just have you serving all kinds of choreography in the club. I can see this song blowing up very soon and becoming a dance classic.
While Chanel West Coast maybe didn't release the best debut album we've seen from a rap girl, she definitely put this stand-out track on the album for a reason. The song with its repetitive chorus forces you to bop your head to the beat. Chanel proves she is not just a TV Host turned singer with her slick rhymes throughout, while giving us one of the best female-rap tracks of the year.
187. Who Be Lovin' Me? (feat. ILOVEMAKONNEN)
Santigold
Santigold, the queen of Ska (or at least close to it...) of modern times teams up with Drake protege ILOVEMAKONNEN to bring us a chill song we can vibe to. While following the sound we heard in 2013 of "smoking weed" anthems, Santigold brings us that we can listen to every time we are just relaxing with friends and passing around a blunt. The artists chilled vocals really have you feel relaxed and just happy.
Earlier this year we were promised that CL would be releasing the lead single to her North American debut solo album. Scooter Braun (manager of Ariana, Justin, Carly, etc) had recently signed her and hyped her upcoming lead single "Hello Bitches". Am I disappointed in this track? Sure. But it's CL, how can you not love it? Even while it may not be the most serious release of the year it is a good attempt to crossover and I can't wait to see what other wacky music CL brings overseas for us.
While Nick Jonas released his debut solo album last year, he did re-release it this year with the addicted lead single 'Levels' and while it was no 'Jealous' it was a great banger. The flawless production in this song mixed with Nick Jonas's sexy suave voice and the assisted vocals that cause you to shout "ROOFTOP" when told to make for a really fun dance song of this year.
While not the type of music the 'Archandroid' herself usually does it's still groovy, sexy and has a great instrumental. Janelle uses this song to showcase her new apprentice Jidenna in the best way possible. While not being vulgar, Janelle still manages to keep the song sexy which is rare these days.
Ellie Goulding, is not the type of artist I would usually turn to for album-tracks. But this song is fun and very cinematic. It really does remind me of a musical, which isn't entirely a bad thing. I must also add the intro to the song (which is not in the video, sadly!) is one of the best intros to a song we've gotten in this year. If only the first three seconds was repeated throughout the rest of the song it could've charted higher.
While only showcased in this song off Lana's most recent LP, we do get the return of 'sexy Lana' that we last saw in songs like "****ed My Way Up To The Top", "Cola" and "Lolita". While this song doesn't surpass the three I just mentioned, it's still really good. The sexy breathy vocals as she demands "Come to California and be a freak like me." really entices the listener and makes one of the sexiest songs of 2015.
Diplo and Skrillex collaborate with dance-hit makers AlunaGeorge to well, give us yet another dance-smash! To U is a weird song in the sense by theory this really would not work. The quiet vocals of Aluna mashed with all over the place production by Skrillex. Doesn't sound like a good plan, does it? But it is. Diplo along with numerous songs in this list he has produced brings us his credits once again in yet another one of the best dance songs of the year.
