Hung Up was a really awkward sound for the US at that time... it didn't fit at all with the urban sound that was the only music played on radio... not to mention the fact that radio didn't even played any Madonna single anymore since American Life incident.
I never said that 4 Minutes was successful because of Madonna.... 4 Minutes it's a COLABORATION between MADONNA and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE (add Timbaland if you want to but
). It was a powerful duet, they both had chemistry and people feeled it. What's so weird about it?
4 Minutes hit the #1 spot everywhere... the US is one of the lowest positions.
