The market is increasing on most countries for the first time in a decade thanks to streaming. Yall really need to stop with this nonsense, if anything the ones killing the artists are the greedy labels.
If any of these big artists (Taylor, Tidal crew, etc) really cared about the less-known artists they'd been fighting with the labels for fair contracts (especially Label owners like Jay-Z) not the ones saving the music industry ![rip](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif)

And people come for Tidal! Spotify hasn't ever been profitable! As I, and many others, pointed out months ago but seemed to be ignored. ![lmao](http://atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/lmao.gif)

The streaming system is a new form of listening to music, and Spotify is a service that only accommodates streaming. Apple is a company that many people love prior to them jumping on the streaming bandwagon so therefore have a LOT more money than Spotify.
You would think that with Apple's money, they would create a streaming system that actually works well, isn't a mess and had a decent layout.
Spotify stays winning.

Exactly. Streaming is currently experiencing a double digit growth year-on-year. Unless it's a bubble which I don't think it is, it's clear Spotify will end up making profit.
Just an example of the growth potential : Sweden, a mature market for streaming, had 197k streams for its biggest song on the 31st of july. A similar strengh for the US market would put the leading song at 6.55 million streams for one day...far far far ahead of the current record.

She strikes me as extremely greedy and money hungry but she didn't become the highest paid musician on the planet aged 25 or under by playing nice.

Spotify could lose all its subscribers today, be automatically deleted from everyones phones and computers, be deleted from the app store and never spoke about again and it would still be around 10 times more successful than Tidal will ever be.

And she wants people to think Katy is tha bitch? She's such a bitch. She's really been showing her true colors lately. And they've been brown for dusty and black for evil.

So, I've worked with start-ups, and Spotify isn't really one, but technically, most start-ups get out of the start-up phase when they become profitable, which Spotify isn't yet

Spotify, like most startups, will not start making profit straightaway. Tidal is a completely different story.

Only to the pressed. I don't know anyone else who would be bothered by a company that has so many subscribers and is a household name and STILL can't make profit. At least the owners of Tidal still have their millions in the bank.

Exactly! They need to get rid of the freemium option and make people pay for SOMETHING. I've been a premium Spotify subscriber for years now. I use the education discount! It's worth it!
Although I've been using primarily Apple Music since it launched. Love it too!
