I'm glad she didn't pull a Maroon 5. This Summer's Gonna Hurt's lyric video fit the summer theme better than the official video. The lyric video for Cool for the Summer is perfect, but I'm content with the official as well. It is still fun, but I think that those sexy shots were unnecessary (although, she is looking really good!). Those scenes are really reminiscent of Gaga's The Edge of Glory video, but I don't think it works for a song like Cool for the Summer. 3.5 / 5
