What's with her becoming a social activity on Twitter all of a sudden?...
And um, no. Classes that let me go on my cellphone I have my highest grades. It's usually after work is complete, which makes me strive to actually do the work faster than average so I can sit on my phone the rest of the period.
Or they let you listen to music on your phone while doing work, which I do, and stops me from chatting keeping me more focused. She can sit.
This was me so much in junior and senior year of high school.
Seems like a very uninformed stance. Hell, most college classes I'm in understand that cell phones and technology can greatly supplement educational instruction. It's all about how teachers deal with it. As readily accessible as technology is, we should learn to use it to enhance learning. Katy wasn't in high school when cell phones even started to become a thing though, so I can understand why she has such an opinion.
My school always allowed it, only if you didn't use it in class. But some teachers let us only use it if we are taking a picture of the homework or the slides. It's useful.
She got a GED in 8th grade which is impressive and most colleges consider it an equivalent of a high school diploma. You should have mentioned the fact that the last time she was in high school, few people had cellphones.
idk i think schools should embrace the growth of technology. the cell phone is useful and something you can always use in your life so utilizing it in the right way in schools would a better option than having them not use it at all
